Neighborhood Festival
Pain points: Cabbagetown, Atlanta, boasts a storied history and a community of devoted residents. In honor of this heritage and the people who call it home, plans were set in motion for a neighborhood festival celebrating both old and new inhabitants. However, a limited budget and the original designer's inability to meet the tight deadline presented challenges, leaving reunion members in a scramble to secure a design for the festival.
Design solution: Drawing inspiration from a captivating photograph of The Patch dating back to 1976, a custom illustration was skillfully crafted to serve as the centerpiece of the festival's design. Collaborating with the committee, the custom design not only met the demanding deadline but also offered the creative freedom to breathe fresh life into the original artwork. The resulting artwork garnered even more attention than anticipated, combining tasteful recognition of the past with a revitalizing, contemporary twist that captured the essence of the event.
